Lyme Disease & Co-Infections Lyme Disease is often misdiagnosed as other ailments or syndromes, but even with early diagnosis and treatment, some patients develop chronic symptoms. These symptoms can vary and may overlap with other conditions, including post-acute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 in long hauler COVID patients. A percentage of patients with Lyme disease or Relapsing Fever Borreliosis also have co-infections or parasites, including Bartonella and Babesia infections. Other vector borne parasites can also resemble Lyme Disease or Morgellons Disease, including Leishmaniasis and Onchocerciasis. Chronic fatigue and pain are common symptoms of these infections, but some patients also exhibit skin symptoms or develop other chronic symptoms and/ or autoimmune disease following an acute infection. Dr. Day has been wonderful to work with during my treatment journey with late stage Borreliosis (both Borrelia burgdorferi, aka Lyme, and Borrelia hermsii, a Lyme like relapsing fever), Bartonella and Morgellons. She really listens to me and works with me to determine the best treatment that I can afford. It's a joy to work with Dr Day. She's very experienced in treating tick borne infections. She's always learning more about treatment options. She takes Morgellons seriously. I've improved GREATLY under her care and expertise. I'd be lost without her! I always recommend her to others needing tick borne infection treatment.

I am so grateful for Dr. Day! She’s the first doctor who believed me when I described my symptoms. On my initial visit, she did a thorough inquiry of my health history, current living environment, past living environments, past and present exposures . . . the list goes on. She ordered labs and diagnosed and treated me for Lyme and several other co-infections of Lyme, as well as Morgellons. Her compassion as a physician is equal to her curiosity - she genuinely listens and then allows herself to think outside of the box. It’s obvious that she has committed her life work to find the answers to the myriad of mysteries surrounding Lyme and Morgellons. She is a true pioneer in this field and I don’t think I could be in better hands. I believe I owe my life to Dr. Day. I was very very sick when she first began treating me. Now I’m almost fully recovered.

Dr. Day is the best Doctor. She properly diagnosed me which has led to treatment that is helping me. I have sarcoidosis and spinal csf leak which she was able to refer me in to Stanford for treatment. She researches and consults with experts in their field to make sure her patients are getting the best care available. I was really sick when I begin seeing her and now family and friends are amazed at the progress I have made regaining my health. Thank you , Dr. Day.

I first saw Dr. Day for gastrointestinal problems. She diagnosed SIBO and has cured me. Next she began working on my sinus problems which I’d endured for thirty years. Even after two sinus surgeries I was still having up to six sinus infections a year. She quickly identified my problem: staph colonization in my sinuses. She cured that problem. I was still in pain and exhausted. She set out to find the genesis of those problems and found Lyme disease and an accompanying co-infection as well as mold disease. She treated me for these and I can now say Dr. Day has given me back my life. I can only say she is an extraordinary diagnostician. She never gives up but will continue trying various protocols until she finds the correct one. I told her I am the 1% and that other doctors have given up on me. She replied that all of her patients are in the 1% category and she loves the challenge of making their lives better. She deserves every accolade. She is a truly amazing doctor.
