When I was 12, I told a friend that I was going to be a doctor. Of course, like many of us, I got a bit sidetracked with life.

After college, armed with a B.S. in Accounting and CPA certification, I joined the corporate world and made a successful career for myself for over 20 years.

But something kept gnawing at me...

About this time, I had a personal health crisis when I gained 30 lbs in a month. I knew it was a thyroid issue, but my doctor tried to tell me I was overeating. Only at my insistence did he agree to test me.  A few days later I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and told to take thyroid medication for the rest of my life.

At the same time, my parents were getting older and experiencing a huge decline in their quality of living… and the only solution given to them were pharmaceuticals.

Again, I knew there had to be a better way.

That’s when the dream I had forgotten became real…

I made the decision to become a Naturopathic Physician and, in 2012, graduated from the National University of Health Sciences in Chicago with a Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine.

As part of the Vitalistic Naturopathic Community, a community of physicians who believe in the ability of the human body to heal itself, my job is to help you create a healing environment that reawakens your health.

Certainly, pharmaceutical medications, as well as lifesaving or improvement surgeries, have a place…

but I’ve found that the best approach to solving health problems is an integrative approach. It's not one or the other. There are benefits to both naturopathic and conventional healthcare. But in my life, I've learned that traditional naturopathic modalities with conventional medicine added as an alternative when needed works best to help me be my best healthy self.

Because life flows in the middle… in the grey.

I visited Dr. Kenton Anderson when I was struggling with horrible carpel tunnel and tennis elbow. Nothing seemed to work from therapy to at home exercises touted with great success. He suggested I pay him a visit to experience a different kind of focus on healing. I'm so glad I did! Dr. Anderson did not simply focus on the pain I was dealing with in both arms, but did everything from a completely holistic perspective. Emotional, mental, physical, history and more. He also ran some tests that gave me such enlightening insights about how my body processes foods and the impact it could be having on my pain and other physical struggles. I took his advice to heart and committed to making changes in my eating habits. After 30 days, the pain in my arms was completely gone! I went for over 6 months dealing with pain and feeling frustrated that this may have to be "my new normal". No, pain does NOT have to be your new normal. If you've only tried traditional means, please, pay Dr. Kenton Anderson a visit. There is always another way, and his is amazing!

I found my way to Dr. Kent after years of frustration working with traditional doctors. I had no energy, middle of the night headaches, ongoing digestive issues, chronic heartburn, stomach pain, and an inability to lose even one pound of weight no matter what I did. I had all the tests regular medicine prescribed - all normal. My MDs just shrugged their shoulders and told me to reduce my stress. Not Dr. Kent. He assured me we would get to the bottom of things and help me feel better.

True to his word, we began on a journey together. We tested, determined food sensitivities, tweaked protocols, added different supplements, changed others, tested again and tried different homeopathic treatments. Here I am 9 months later - energy restored, headache free, and digestive issues, chronic heartburn and stomach pain all gone. With his urging, I pushed my MD to more thoroughly review certain health concerns and got an early diagnosis of something that could have been more serious if untreated. Without really doing anything other than avoiding foods my body doesn't process well, I lost 15 pounds.

Things did not happen overnight, but as a steady, caring and thoughtful partner, Dr. Kent kept encouraging me and kept looking for solutions. Our adorable 5 year old has been struggling with eczema since we can remember. We did all of the standard allergy tests, tried cutting out certain foods, focused on household products, literally everything you can imagine, we tried it.

We were at a point of despair this winter January of 2020. Her eczema had spread all over her body from head to toe including her face, and it just wasn't getting a chance to heal at all. Our poor girl was so itchy and uncomfortable, she wasn't herself and it was utterly heartbreaking.

Dr. Anderson was kind of a hail mary last resort and I am so happy we took the chance.

The Carroll Food Intolerance test along with his clear knowledge and expertise were a god send for us. He prescribed a homeopathic remedy and the results of the The Carroll Food Intolerance test recommended we cut out sugar, eggs and soy.

After 3-4 weeks her skin began to heal for the first time, her itching relented and we were able to tip the scales back into the favor of the body and it's natural ability to heal.

We highly recommend Dr. Anderson for all things holistic.

I personally believe every child (and parent) regardless of the symptom should have this blood panel done in order to have objective/black and white information on what their child should avoid eating to avoid systemic problems now or later.

I came to Dr. Anderson as a young person that has had far too many health problems (high blood pressure, stroke, breast cancer, high cholesterol, hypothyroidism) and on a day to day basis, I truly never felt good. I tried doing everything I could think of to feel better, like working out every day, eating right, etc., but it didn't make a difference. I knew I had to try something different, so I found Dr. Anderson. I am happy to say that stepping out of my lifetime "comfort zone" of western medicine not only improved my health, but it has changed my quality of life for the better. Dr. Anderson found that I had an underlying thyroid auto immune disorder (Hashimoto's) among a couple of other things. Through removing certain foods from my diet that he found out my body doesn't agree with and adding vitamins to my daily routine, the Hashimoto's is now gone, I lost 40 lbs, one of my blood pressure medications was lowered, and most importantly, I feel much better every day. I can't thank Dr. Anderson enough for helping me finally get to a healthier me!
