My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Young for many years. Dr. young has been incredibly helpful and genuinely concerned for our overall good health. Her keen analysis and abilities coupled with her heartfelt care has been incredibly helpful and comforting to us. Back in 2012 I was extremely ill and most physicians couldn't figure out what was wrong or just wanted to prescribe medication. Dr. Young agreed to take me on as a patient and I've been going to her ever since. She's incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate and I trust her completely! I also love that she recommends natural supplements rather than pharmaceuticals. Now that her office has expanded, I'm able to see other physicians when she's not available and can go there for numerous other services. I love having all my doctor's under one roof, including my PCP! Which reminds me, the office is beautiful, warm and inviting and there's plenty of off street parking too!
Dr. Lauren Young is an amazing doctor who has been nothing short of a blessing to me. As a young woman in my early 20's who had been bounced around and dismissed by many in the medical field, Dr. Young was the exception. She has been able to discern what was going on with me and has been instrumental in helping me to get better and stay positive through some truly difficult obstacles. I believe and she has proven that she deeply cares about my well-being -- physically and emotionally. Each time I have been to her office I am treated with respect, genuine kindness and greeted so warmly. And just when I begin to think I must be someone "special" I see the next person that comes into the office treated just as warmly! Connecticut Natural Health Specialists is an office filled with people who are compassionate, professional and talented. This is the first review I've ever posted but because Dr. Young and her staff have helped me so much I felt inclined to write and express my gratitude and recommendation. I have also been treated by Dr. Ashley Burkman and can attest to the fact that she, too, is a talented, compassionate doctor. Unfortunately I've been to a lot of specialists for someone as young as I am, and can honestly say that I have never been more impressed than I am with everyone involved with Connecticut Natural Health Specialists -- nor have I ever been treated with such respect and compassion. I love this office and think of Dr. Young as my primary care physician.
I have been a patient of Dr. Young's for quite a few years now. I am so blessed to have found her. I had many health issues that my primary care doctors just "didn't have the time for" but Dr. Young did and helped me trust myself and my instincts. With her knowledge and awesome bedside manner, she helped me get to the bottom of it. She knows so much and always has suggestions or tips to assist whatever issues I am dealing with. After having children you get very spoiled with the care you get from an OB while pregnant or pediatrician once the baby arrives. It is very rare to find that level of caring in another specialty, but CT Natural Health Specialists have it. The staff are welcoming, kind, and always try to help. But, that makes sense because they are an extension of two of the nicest people I have ever met: Dr. Lauren Young and Dr. Ashley Burkman. I feel very lucky to have found their practice. It has made a huge difference in my heath, my children's health...my entire family's health. They have not only treated us, but taught us about why the symptoms are occurring and the root cause. As a patient of Dr. Young for a few years now, I have come to think of her and the staff at Connecticut Natural Health Specialists as my oasis. I sought the services of a Naturopath after a myriad of health issues left me sick, tired and fed up with my symptoms being treated with drugs, while the underlying issues remained. I wanted to heal, and I needed someone willing to help me find a way off all the meds. And I needed hope. Needless to say, I hit the jackpot! Dr. Young has helped me turn my health around, literally. She has an approach that is refreshing, fueled by tremendous knowledge and complemented with compassion and integrity. It is abundantly clear that this is her life's passion and I feel fortunate indeed to have found her. I have recommended her and Dr. Burkman to friends and co-workers and, perhaps most telling, to my family.
