In February 2019, my immune system went out of control causing what was a downward spiral of loss of use of legs and muscles, peripheral neuropathy and migrating muscle pain, and in general, all the nerves in my body going haywire. After 60 days on testing from my neurosurgeon; trips to rheumatology and various nerve conduction studies that show a progression of deadening nerves; 5 MIR’s; 2 Ultrasounds; and several x-rays; conventional medicine gave up. Luckily, I had a friend who had and continues to have chronic Lyme, she directed me IGeneX for a more comprehensive testing. Sure enough, I came back with exposure to Lyme and a co-infection Bartonella. Fortunately, my Lyme expert friend also knew of Dr. Marra, whom I went to see. Dr. Marra recognized my symptoms immediately without even looking at the IGeneX test results. She said I was a 7 out of 10, which was pretty bad. She started me on aggressive program of medications and within a few weeks the migrating pain and tingling all over my body was gone. It is now 8 months later and I’m still taking lots of meds, but my body has responded very well with strength and energy coming back to about 85%. It is a slower process that I would like but definitely have gotten better month by month. I can only say good things about Dr. Marra and more importantly is how much she knows about Lyme and its co-infectious diseases and how to treat them.

Dr Marra is the only doctor to be able to diagnose me and treat the underlying problem. I am so grateful to have my energy and focus back. I can't recommend her enough! If you are being misdiagnosed by other doctors. I would highly recommend her!

My endocrinologist has ignored years of symptom complaints and wanted me to see a sleep disorder specialist. My family practice doctor would tell me it was stress. Dr Marra listened, asked questions and told me we would get to the bottom of my chronic pain, exhaustion, infections and frustration. Finally a doctor who spends more than 5 minutes with you and doesn't think Lyme or Fibromyalgia symptoms are just in your head.

I don't normally write a review but when I do it's for Dr. Marra, Linda & Charlotte. By the time we found out about Dr. Marra, we had already been through every doc that we had heard of and it seemed no-one knew just how to help us. We called her office and Linda answered and she was a well of knowledge and I made an appointment and drove to Seattle that same week. The minute we walked into her office, we were greeted by her sweet dog Charlotte... who was just what our son needed! I was overwhelmed with her attentive care, her knowledge, her resources, her sympathy. She listened to us like no-one ever did. She knew exactly what tests to order, and that was the starting point that led to many changes! Her predictions were right on point! We left their energized and ready to implement her treatment plan. We are 6 months in and have already seen tremendous and unbelievable results.

I came to Dr. Marra VERY sick in November 2014. I had been living with Lyme for 4 years unknowingly. Each year I got sicker and sicker, I visited many doctors who tried to tell me I had everything under the sun, to nothing at all..it was all in my head. Anyway, I finally figured it out and got appropriate testing done, and found Marra. I am a year and 1 month into treatment and doing FANTASTIC! Every month I get better and better. I am fully confident that Marra will get me to optimal health. She is aggressive in her approach and uses high therapeutic dosages of antibiotics, which I am lucky enough to tolerate. She has a spunky attitude that I enjoy, a knack for knowing what meds to use, but most importantly she knows what she is doing! I am not going to be one of those Lyme patients who don't get better, I'm 85% there!

As cliche as it may sound, Dr. Marra saved my life. I became massively ill with Lyme disease in 2010. Dr. Marra diagnosed my disease and treated me successfully. She is incredibly intelligent and got me on the other side of a debilitating disease. I have been out of treatment for 5 years now and my life is better than ever. I have a full time job and multiple hobbies. I went from being unable to walk one block to thriving, thanks to Dr. Marra. I am grateful for her and her unwavering commitment to Lyme patients every day.

If you have been gaslit by tradition medicine that nothing is wrong, when you know that something is wrong. Dr. Marra is the person to work with to understand and treat what ails you.

Dr. Marra is literally a life saver! After going undiagnosed and being told over and over again there was nothing wrong, I was almost completely disabled. Dr. Marra brought me back to the land of the living. I had multiple infections and could barely function, but I am now a functioning happy person again. Lyme disease is such a debilitating illness and most doctors don't even believe it exists. Dr. Marra has the expertise and knowledge to diagnose and know how to treat Lyme and all the co-infections. I feel fortunate to have found her!

I'm grateful to Dr. Marra for treating me and helping me get my life back. I was in treatment for 10 years. When I first came in, I couldn't be out of bed for more than 2-3 hours a day due to extreme fatigue, had migraines half the time or more, regularly experienced heart palpitations, and many, many more symptoms. I was told by other Drs it was stress from being in college but finally went to a naturopath for my original diagnosis. Thankfully, because my symptoms were getting worse by the month. I went to Dr Marra for treatment and now I have a demanding full-time job, have active hobbies like running, bouldering, and paddleboarding, and have time and energy for an active social life. It all came back slowly over time, with a full-time job 3 years after starting treatment and layering in additional activities as I got better. I've been stable for 2 years now without treatment, with no sign of illness returning. A long road, but 1,000% worth it to have a full life. If you have Lyme disease and you worry that you'll never be OK again -- I see you, I was you, and I hope you find comfort and hope in knowing that it can get better. Hopefully you get to Dr Marra for treatment sooner than I did. She understands all the ins and outs of Lyme, coinfections and the treatments therof. Her knowledge and treatment regimens have taken me from 1/2 dead feeling to 'I spent time this summer at a cottage'. It may take more time than you like but trust her process. She listens, is on time for appts, and is always respectful. She knows what matters and what does not. Trust her.
