My husband & I found Dr. Cruz & his team in 2021, after a months long search in trying to find someone who had the patience, skill & expertise to take me on as a patient. I say patience because most doctors out there don’t have the time or mind for a complicated story. I had had it with pain clinics & the whole traditional healthcare system. I needed a new point of view, and some new directions to try. My background, briefly: Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, several autoimmune diseases, Lyme disease as a teenager for 4 years, and spine injuries & surgeries, along with arthritis & joint degeneration. It’s been over two years, and the impact Dr. Cruz & his team have had on my life has been for the better. After years of feeling like my health was degrading each year, I’ve now been able to see positive improvements. The first step was a consultation with Dr. Cruz that was not just thorough about my history, but it also included Dr. Cruz presenting a wide variety of options for me to try based on my conditions. Some were free - like a simple YouTube link to healing frequencies - and some were on me as to whether I wanted to try them, such as diet changes. There were also a wide variety of services he provided, for which he urged us to take the time we needed to research, talk them over, and decide what made sense. There was no pressure at all. Many of the Kentuckiana options are not found in a traditional medical setting, but I’m not a traditional patient so it’s been a good fit. Some things have helped more than others, but nothing has set me back. At a time where pain management & even decent medical care has become so difficult to obtain for those with complex health situations, I am so grateful that I found the team at Kentuckiana. Mary-Beth is an expert in Lyme and tick borne illnesses. I found her when I was going from doctor to doctor for a long list of symptoms that were changing and increasing over time. None of the doctors would admit it was tick borne so I chose to go the integrative route. Best decision ever. Mary-Beth spends a tremendous amount of time during the intake session and follow up sessions and is available for questions via her secure portal. Her fees are fair and she truly gets to know you through the process and cares about your overall health and wellness. Lyme treatment is tricky and what works for some doesn’t for others and she keeps up with the latest in Lyme treatment. I’m currently working with Dr. Diane for serious tickborne illnesses and mold issues. In my first month I have gone from laying in the bed most of the day and not taking showers to being able to cook for myself and take showers again. I have a long way to go, but I’m improved for the first time in three years, which is far more than I can say for all the 100s of conventional doctors I’ve seen who are totally clueless.

I have worked with a number of holistic/functional medicine doctors in the past five years to address ongoing health issues that I’ve had for decades. I had a Lyme and mold toxicity diagnosis before working with [them]; so when I found a free copy online of their book “How to Use Your Mind to Heal Mold and Lyme” I read it and then got an email for a free initial 20-minute consultation with Dr. Diane. The book impressed me so much because I felt like I was reading my own story (even though it wasn’t written by me). I had already done some very expensive Lyme/mold treatments at another clinic and they did help a lot. But that clinic told me you can’t heal yourself from Lyme. I got about 70% better at that clinic but was still not happy with the joint/muscle pain I was having and when I read the book I was convinced that if Dr. Diane could heal herself from Lyme (and essentially get rid of the chronic joint/muscle pain), then I could do so as well.
