At age 29 I had been dealing with almost 10 years of chronic lower back and hip pain. I had consulted multiple chiropractors and physical therapists, and their diagnoses were never correct. I would try what they suggested, but the relief from the pain would never last. I found Arete, and Dr. Beebe correctly diagnosed me in the first visit. She was the first chiropractor to look at my back in a comprehensive way, from my neck all the way to my lower back instead of focusing on the location of the pain in my lower back and hips. She immediately saw that my top vertebrate was a few millimeters off as a result of an athletic injury when I was 19, and my whole body was compensating for my slightly tilted head. My right hip was 2 inches higher than my left hip as a result, which was causing the pain. Over the next 6 months Dr. Beebe focused primarily on correcting my neck, assuring me the rest of my body would straighten out as a result, and that’s exactly what happened. I was amazed out how little she actually adjusted me, going with a minimal approach, rather than the typical chiropractic visits of tons of cracking, which I’ve always wondered whether it’s necessary. After about 3-4 months I really started noticing the pain going away, and after 6-7 months my back and hips feel better than they have in 10 years. Furthermore, a lot of my leg, core, and hip muscles are either too tight or too weak due to the 10 year body compensations. Those issues are causing the remaining small amounts of pain, and Dr. Bebee put me in touch with a fantastic physical therapist that is quickly helping me remove the final elements of pain. Overall, Arete and Dr. Bebee have been a godsend. I had almost given up on relieving the pain, and now I’m so excited to get back into being an athlete. The company is ran with impeccability, integrity, and extraordinary customer service. I don’t think I waited more than 10 minutes past my appointment time before being seen over the 7 months I’ve been working with Dr. Bebee. I highly recommend seeing Dr. Bebee if you’re dealing with ANY sort of chronic pain because you might be surprised to discover it’s something in your back that Arete will expertly address.
