I went to see Dr. Maura to get treatment with intestinal issues I had during the fall of 2016. I had seen three other doctors for the same issue, all of them gastroenterologists and none of them were very helpful with my nausea, on/off diarrhea and upset stomach that I had been having for 6 weeks. Dr. Maura suggested several specialized tests which detected that there was an infection in my small intestine. I started with certain herbs and supplements plus changed my nutrition for a while and got better within a couple of weeks!! No antibiotics needed. I cannot overstate how incredibly life-changing Dr. Maura’s treatment and diet plan was for me. I sought out Dr. Maura after having extreme stomach pain for six months. The first consultation I had she asked me many questions to get to know me and my issues. She was very knowledgeable and knew almost immediately that it was a gastrointestinal issue. She promptly gave me a couple lab tests to complete at home so we could figure out exactly what was creating the GI issues. The next appointment we discussed the lab results, she put me on a diet, and gave me supplements. I started seeing results and feeling a lot better not even a week later. Since I’ve been seeing Dr. Maura my GI has gotten so much better and now I know more about what caused my stomach pains to begin with.
