I am incredibly fortunate and happy to have found this facility. Dr. Cruz is professional, incredibly knowledgeable and informative, and approachable. As someone who avidly researches alternative/holistic medicine, it was refreshing to find a doctor that shared my medical interests. For once, I feel like I have a voice in my treatment plans, whereas before I always felt like I had to conform to only conventional medicine. Here you have many options and treatment modalities to choose from--personally, the way I think healthcare should operate. This place really is a gem, and I really hope it gains the respect and patient base it deserves.

My husband & I found Dr. Cruz & his team in 2021, after a months long search in trying to find someone who had the patience, skill & expertise to take me on as a patient. I say patience because most doctors out there don’t have the time or mind for a complicated story. I had had it with pain clinics & the whole traditional healthcare system. I needed a new point of view, and some new directions to try. My background, briefly: Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, several autoimmune diseases, Lyme disease as a teenager for 4 years, and spine injuries & surgeries, along with arthritis & joint degeneration.

It’s been over two years, and the impact Dr. Cruz & his team have had on my life has been for the better. After years of feeling like my health was degrading each year, I’ve now been able to see positive improvements. The first step was a consultation with Dr. Cruz that was not just thorough about my history, but it also included Dr. Cruz presenting a wide variety of options for me to try based on my conditions. Some were free - like a simple YouTube link to healing frequencies - and some were on me as to whether I wanted to try them, such as diet changes. There were also a wide variety of services he provided, for which he urged us to take the time we needed to research, talk them over, and decide what made sense. There was no pressure at all. Many of the Kentuckiana options are not found in a traditional medical setting, but I’m not a traditional patient so it’s been a good fit. Some things have helped more than others, but nothing has set me back.

At a time where pain management & even decent medical care has become so difficult to obtain for those with complex health situations, I am so grateful that I found the team at Kentuckiana. And I mean team, because every single person there plays an important role, and they all have the same mission, values, etc. when it comes to health care, which makes it an exceptional place for patients. They are always open & looking for new ways to improve the lives of others, and my life has improved because of them.

I'm 65 years old and was experiencing severe shoulder pain. I knew Dr. Cruz could do the hyaluronic acid shots that "regular" doctors do, but I was curious to see if he could do more. Dr. Cruz took an x-ray in his office and knew I had arthritis, but he could see something else. He had me go to Open-sided MRI in Jeff. That MRI showed I had torn tendons and a bone spur. No wonder I was in tears from the pain! He ended up giving me PRP that can help your body heal itself. I also received the shots that worked quicker to stop the pain. I'm practically pain-free now and my life is great! He has several different treatments to help so many ailments. K.I.M. is the best!

I feel incredibly fortunate to have discovered Dr. Cruz as my integrative medical doctor. His extensive knowledge and expertise in his field are truly impressive. Not only is he a great listener, but he also genuinely cares about his patients. Dr. Cruz pays meticulous attention to detail and is passionate about finding solutions and creating effective treatment plans.
If I didn't reside in New Jersey, I would undoubtedly make regular visits to see him. I have undergone multiple treatments under his care, including Prolozone, Prolo Therapy, and Stem Cells. The Stem Cells therapy has been particularly life-changing for me, as it has successfully prevented the need for knee surgery for over five years and counting.

What sets Dr. Cruz apart is his promptness in returning calls and his willingness to accommodate patients in case of emergencies. His dedication to providing exceptional care is truly commendable.

I am 74 and have suffered from a form of depression which I describe as having no "mojo" for many years. I had little mental energy, little drive and didn't enjoy much. Life was being lived in black and white. Many different antidepressants have been tried with no effect. I recently did 6 sessions of the Ketamine infusion and the results have been dramatic. I am now living life in color. I now feel good to my core. It has been over 40 years since I felt this good. Be prepared for a very interesting experience.
The staff is excellent and the office design is open and welcoming. I have been for someone like Dr. Cruz for a long time. With his experience and the number of "tools" he uses to address many health problems will not be found in traditional Western medical practices. I had an excellent experience at Kentuckiana Integrative Medicine with Dr. Rafael Cruz! My name is Melanie Drury. I serve the community as a Nurse Practitioner in KY and IN. I personally had been dealing with degenerative joint disease and bone spurs of the cervical spine resulting in neck pain on a daily basis over the past 9 years. I also experienced low back pain daily over the past several years. Over the past 9 years, I tried numerous treatments including chiropractic, cervical and lumbar traction, laser therapy, physical therapy several times, oral over the counter Nsaids, prescription anti-inflammatory medications, muscle relaxers, topical medications, accupuncture, cupping, dry needling, weekly massage, pilates, orthopedic office treatment, podiatry office treatment with two custom inserts adjusted a couple of times, inversion table use at home...and maybe a few other things Im just not remembering off the top of my head. Despite all of these numerous interventions, pain relief was minimal and short lasting.
My experience at Kentuckiana Integrative Medicine was exceptional. Dr. Cruz treated me with prolotherapy, prolozone, and stem cell therapy. Unbelievably, this has been the first time in 9 years I have been pain free! I am so thankful! I want to share my experience with everyone. There are many out there suffering with pain.
